Amoris Laetitia and Cinema

In a series of five meetings, I intend to offer a reflection on marriage and the family, with the aid of Pope Francis’ Post-Synodal Exhortation, Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) and a series of films, such as Revolutionary Road, A Marriage Story, Juno, A Separation, and The Bridges of Madison County. This intends to be what Pope Francis called “an aid to reflection, dialogue and pastoral practice, and as a help and encouragement to families in their daily commitments and challenges” (AL 4). And this, in the hope that it will be of help to engaged couples, married couples and those engaged in the family ministry. Those attending these meetings will be expected to participate in the discussions following the presentations.
